Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating a StudySync account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use StudySync.

The service

StudySync is an AI-powered scheduling tool for working students. We read your Google Calendar (and optionally Drive / Gmail), and write study blocks back to your calendar based on preferences you configure.

We provide the service "as is". We try our best to keep it running and useful, but we make no guarantees that any specific feature will be available at any given time, or that the scheduler will produce a result you agree with.

Your account

• You must be 18 or older.
• You're responsible for activity under your account, including any use by people you let access it.
• Don't share your account with anyone outside your immediate use case (e.g. parent helping with setup is fine; selling logins is not).
• One human, one account. Multiple accounts to circumvent paywalls or trial limits will be flagged and may be terminated without refund.

What you grant us

By connecting a Google account, you grant StudySync the OAuth scopes that account requested at consent time, for as long as the account is connected. We use those scopes only to deliver the service described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Use StudySync to send spam, phish, or harass anyone.
• Resell, sublicense, or rebrand the service without written permission.
• Upload content (e.g. via Drive folders we read) that you don't have rights to.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Subscriptions and refunds

• Free trial: 7 days, no card required up-front.
• Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual).
• Cancel anytime — your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds: if you cancel within 7 days of a new annual purchase and haven't actively used the scheduler that period, we'll refund in full. Otherwise, we don't refund partial periods.
• All payments are processed by Razorpay, governed by their terms.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may terminate accounts for breach of these terms, fraud, or if continued operation becomes legally or commercially unviable, with reasonable notice when possible.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, StudySync is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including missed deadlines, lost productivity, or any consequence of relying on a scheduled study block. The service is a planning aid, not a substitute for your own judgment.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000 (whichever is greater).

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days in advance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
